Hey everyone,
Despite my best intentions for this month, fate conspired against me yet again.
In the first week of January, my wife was taking my eldest son to school, when she had a nasty fall and broke one ankle in three places and fractured the other. After three surgeries to fix all the damage, she finally returned home to recuperate.
As a result, I've been looking after her, as well as her hospital visits, and taking on everything else from childcare, school runs, to all the regular housework, cooking, cleaning etc. It's been a nightmare, and by the end of each day I've been exhausted.
Despite all the setbacks, I've managed to make some progress on chapter 179. The family is staying at my in-laws this weekend to give me a break, so I'll continue writing the chapter tomorrow.
I'm sorry that I failed my New Year's resolution at the first hurdle.
