Apologies for those of you on FA who already saw a journal about this, but I've had people outside FA ask me to let the know here so... here ya go!God, I meant to do this in fucking January,I planned to open up early in the year but we can all see how well that went, hah. Ah well!
TL;DR- I'm opening for flat colour commissions, and here's the form!
I plan to take ten and have them all finished within a month, six weeks, something along those lines. I'll probably have to stop in the middle to the patreon stuff around the end of the month, but I should still be able to get these done on that timeline.
I'll leave signups open for a week, though I make pick a few early. If you haven't heard from me by the 17th, ya probably didn't get in this round. Though, if there are ideas I really like and want to get to I may poke a few extra out after the initial 10, we'll see. :P
There are usually many signups for these so don't take it personally if you don't get in, it's just a numbers game really!
For people who like to hear my inner thoughts about my commission process, continue on-
SO, you may remember last year I tried out an idea where I was going to sorta stay continuously open and just refresh the commission list every quarter so they'd be relatively recent. In theory that would mean people on the list would be likely to still be interested since signups would be relatively fresh, but I wouldn't have to pick a specific time to take on a bunch of commissions but instead could pick one or two up here and there as my whims dictated, which was really nice for the ADHD and stress levels, haha.
Yeah that lasted about four months. What I came to learn is that, I can very easily get roped into a few big projects, maybe make a model or two, follow up with an animation or something and whoops, there goes the entire quarter and I didn't take one single flat-colour commission. And I just can't make people take the time and energy to sign up for my commissions only to dump them three months later without having picked any. That's not okay, lol. I didn't feel right tossing out the existing suggestions after picking none of them so I just left it open and picked through them for the rest of the year. Speaking of, I actually kinda forgot that the link was still active on my home page and people were still signing up the whole time, so apologies to the people who just signed up for that one. Whoops! You'll have to do it again here, sorry! :P
Anyway, for the time being I guess I'll just try being an adult and opening commissions like a normal person; take a chunk of 'em at one time and then close down and work through them. I may try something funky with it again in the future but for now I guess I'll keep it simple.
