We are giving the Stone Sorcery Unearthed Arcana from years ago the love it deserves.
Changes for 2024
The original Stone Sorcery UA is the only gish sorcerer subclass that is almost official content. But it felt clunky and the abilities were all over the places. This rework attempts to fix that:
Through Stone Forming and Strength of Stone, your Charisma now dictates your attack rolls, damage rolls, and AC.
In the old UA, the balance between casting and attacking was off, so we’ve adopted the 2024 Bladesinger "philosophy". At level 6, you can mix cantrips and weapon attacks together.
The original "Stone Aegis" was very clunky. Now it is tied to your Sorcery Points as a reaction to mitigate massive damage, which you then channel into a counter-attack.
You now have a dedicated "Earth Magic" list (including KibblesTasty’s spells) that are always prepared, to add to the flavor of the subclass
