Hey everyone!
Got something a bit bigger (and definitely deadlier) for you today—this one’s a trio of boss monsters pulled straight from some very bad decisions in alchemy.
These are The Three Great Miracles—remnants of a failed attempt to create a living Philosopher’s Stone.
I'll let you read the lore on that one.
Each one leans into a different stage of alchemy, and they are very different at the table:
Nigredo: a walking void of decay and darkness
Albedo: radiant, overwhelming “purity”
Rubedo: raw, unstoppable life force that just won’t stay down, and will devour you if you are not careful.
These are obviously inspired by FMA, particularly in their lore.
But I'm a nerd and I love that kind of thing.
If you’re running anything alchemy-themed, ruined empires, or “magic went horribly wrong” settings, these slot in really nicely as either ancient threats or things the party absolutely should not awaken (but probably will).
More strange alchemical stuff on the way soon.
