They’ve done this so many times – same hotel, same unspoken deal, nothing special. The three of them… tangled up in a mess meant to release some of the pressure from the last mission.
Soap is usually the spark, charming and reckless, while Ghost’s low voice and solid presence do the rest to seduce any woman. It’s supposed to be simple. Familiar.
But tonight, Soap keeps drifting toward Ghost, hands lingering, eyes searching him instead of her. And Ghost feels it—sharp as a hit to the ribs.
She’s there, warm and willing, but Soap’s attention keeps circling back to him.
Ghost tries to ignore it, tries to stay in the rhythm he knows… but something between them is pulling tighter than usual.
