This is just a casual post today. Recently, I've come to realize how important it is to output your work and knowledge, so I wanted to share my thoughts on this.
I've been writing technical tutorials on Patreon, and I've noticed that doing this actually helps me understand things more deeply on a theoretical level.
To create a technical tutorial, I need to prepare reference materials and organize the content I want to explain. When you're explaining something to others, you can't just rely on intuition—you need to be able to articulate everything clearly. This means I have to research and analyze things in much more detail than before.
Through this process, I can put into words what I've been doing intuitively, which leads to a deeper theoretical understanding.
It's like transforming "somehow it worked" into "I know exactly why it worked."
This difference is huge. When you understand something theoretically, you can apply it to other situations, which means you can use these techniques in future projects. As a result, the overall quality of your work improves.
Another great thing about writing articles is that you can look back at them later. When I'm in the zone creating something, I'm just working away intensely, but when I look at something I made a while ago, I often think "Wait, how did I make this!?"
I made it myself, yet I've forgotten how I did it! That's when having an article to reference becomes really handy!
When people think of "output," they usually imagine showing their work to others and getting reactions. But it's not just about that—the process of creating the output itself is a valuable experience. So I definitely recommend giving it a try!
