As I’m currently in the hospital (again) it has become very evident to me that my health does not permit me to keep a schedule at all (and I’m sure you are all very aware of it by now). I therefore have some ideas/concerns/compromises about my art, and how to go about the future.
The Comics
First of all I want to say that I want to finish Love Shake 2. But it will take on a new format. Still a comic, a little bit taller page sizing for the next remaining pages.
The new Stallion/Bull comic will continue through any changes I make.
The first page in The Stallion’s Desire and The Big Balled Bull will be posted when I’ve returned from the hospital. It still needs another pass to the commissioner and some work before it is ready.
Art
I’m probably going to do more “snapshot” one piece/painting kind of TF art. I’ve talked about it a bit before that as much as I love comics I don’t think they suit my health. I will still take some comic commissions I think, because it is less work for me to have what is basically a co-writer or someone who basically directs it. But even then I will probably stick to shorter comics (1-3 pages but in the longer page format I mentioned above), unless it’s someone I’ve worked with before.
There’s probably going to be a longer time between pieces… but again it’s not like I’ve been consistent in getting my work out up til now. Which brings me to the the next topic:
Patreon
I will probably get rid of my Patreon at some point after I have finished Love Shake. I am thinking of perhaps trading it in for a website, but who knows how to get a NSFW domain in this political climate. There’s just a pressure in Patreon that I don’t think I am living up to or my health appreciates. And I think having a site people can check whenever might be ideal? I don’t know if you guys like the notification system here on Patreon? I will continue making art, and I still want to take commissions (although a limited amount I’m able to complete), I’m also thinking of having like some kind of request form or section that I can turn to once in a blue moon idk. I think a system where one can donate or pay for a specific product/service suits me better. No one is really demanding anything from me and nobody has been anything but supportive. It just doesn’t suit my heart and health to have a patronage system. If that makes sense?
I also kinda want my stuff to be better organised. For all platforms I use right now it is basically just put in a chronological timeline according to their tags. It’s hard for me to find my own stuff, so it is probably hard for you patrons as well to navigate it. I’d like to make it more organised by having a collection page for each comic, perhaps sortable by tag as well in a greater gallery.
This might be a bad idea, and I would love to hear what you guys think, if a website would be out of your way or something you’d rather want than the current Patreon page?
I will of course still pay to sites like FA, Reddit, Blusky etc, so I think you could turn on notifications there if you’d want them still. Ehm, yeah. Not getting rid of Patreon yet, and I kinda want to finish Love Shake 2 before I take on the project of perhaps making a website. But yeah, I’ve been thinking a lot about Patreon and my health and my art, but also all of you, because many of you have been here for a very long time, supporting me through some very difficult times. So I really truly want to do you guys justice in my decisions going forward, because I truly appreciate you all so much.
XOXO,
Rosa
