Apart from the occasional dispute over the profits of Lagh metal extraction and a few incidents caused by space-induced psychosis, the colony remains largely calm and orderly.
Lately, however, a rising number of sightings of native species has forced the NAPD to raise its alert level. From the underground tunnels of Neo Dunwich to the sea-level sectors of Neo Innsmouth, an increasing stream of unverified lifeforms has begun breaching the colony’s outer perimeter. Researchers from Miskatonic University have started deploying biosignal detectors across sensitive regions to trace the source of these activities, while the NAPD dispatched its elite tactical units to handle any potential third-contact scenarios—among them, the newest cyberdoll operative: LEX-9.
Lex-9 prefers to be called Lexine. She's the one who moves before anyone else does, who cracks a light joke in the middle of a tense briefing. In the field, she’s calm and instinctive, as if she’s already seen worse. After shifts, she puts on her headphones, goes for a late-night run along the sea walls, and sometimes brings coffee for her teammates on the way back.
Her colleagues in the tactical unit say she carries a quiet sense of ease. She doesn’t talk much, but when she’s around, tension seems to fade almost naturally—as if no matter how dangerous things get, everything will somehow turn out all right.
