ADA’s voluptuous physique has presented a few unique challenges during the development process. Traditional physics-bone-based systems (such as jiggle physics for breasts and glutes) typically animate the mesh as a whole. Consequently, they struggle to realistically simulate the multi-directional dispersion and rippling effects of high-volume fat and soft tissue during movement.
Over the past two months, we have trained a lightweight AI toolset using real-world video footage to simulate soft-tissue secondary animation across various body fat percentages. This toolset is specifically designed to optimize the dynamic physics of high-adipose areas, such as the lower abdomen and thighs. The accompanying demonstration showcases the in-game results without the use of any traditional physics bones. For the final release, we will blend this new AI system with our existing physics-bone mechanics to achieve the ultimate dynamic presentation.
