The freezing winter wind howled across the snowfields. On the ground, a tiny, shrunken Kazuma shivered violently, utterly helpless.
Above him, Aqua loomed like a towering giant against the frosted trees. Lifting her massive winter boot, she scooped him right inside the clear-soled shoe.
"Stop whining, Kazuma!" Aqua huffed, her voice echoing through the leather. "It's freezing out there, and it's perfectly warm and stuffy in my boot. Just stay still, keep my toes warm, and be grateful to this beautiful goddess!"
Trapped in the cramped, humid darkness beneath her thick sock, Kazuma groaned. It was entirely humiliating—but as the blizzard raged outside, he had to admit it was warm.
