Hey everyone!
This week’s work has focused on improving gameplay systems, polishing visuals, and enhancing player control options — including a major update to the Options Menu and continued progress on the Contextual Action System.
⚙️ System Progress
🧠 Contextual Action System: Development continues! This complex system links dialogue, NPC reactions, and player actions together for more dynamic and immersive gameplay.
🧩 Action Logic & Integration: More testing and refinement to improve responsiveness between player inputs and contextual triggers.
🪄 Interface & Settings Overhaul
⚙️ Unified Options Window: All settings — Graphics, AI, Audio, and Controls — are now accessible in one clean, redesigned interface.
🔍 FSR & DLSS Options: Added FSR upscaling to complement DLSS, giving players more flexibility for performance and visual fidelity.
🧠 AI Settings Tab (Experimental): A new AI menu has been introduced where you can:
Switch between different AI models.
Adjust parameters like Num Predict, Temperature, Top K, and Top P.
⚠️ These settings are experimental and may cause unexpected behavior — if something breaks, revert to default values.
🌊 World & Visual Updates
🌊 Water System Improvements: Updated foam visibility and wave motion for a more realistic shoreline effect.
🌤️ Daytime Lighting Tweaks: Adjusted brightness and color balance to make the world feel more natural and atmospheric.
🌙 Nighttime Visibility Fixes: Nights are no longer overly dark — subtle lighting makes the environment more playable while keeping the mood intact.
🧩 Looking Ahead
The Contextual Action System remains the top priority, as it’s a foundational piece connecting camera logic, animations, and dialogue. Once stabilized, I’ll move toward integrating more advanced reactions and player-driven interactions into the build.
Thank you all for your continued support and feedback — every step brings NeonStrip closer to its vision. 💜
