NOTE: I often write the italic parts after I’ve written the main chapter portion, and I literally changed my mind last minute about how I wanted to write this part. I considered this being General Vildred’s perspective, and I also considered it being from Remi’s perspective, but then on a random whim, I decided I should have it be from Wren’s perspective, even though she’s with the MC right now, because it better explains where her head is at right now.
