Lily: Having a beautiful, poignant moment, reckoning with mortality
Bel: Absolutely going through it but trying to stay positive
I'm not sure if this one has quite the depth and range of feeling that I wanted it to have, and while I hate planning for a rewrite, I have a feeling this one is going to need a bit of work to give it the flow and emotion I want. This is a scene I've had in my head since the early days of the book, and it's changed a little bit, but the essence I wanted is still the same. I would normally keep writing, but we have no power at the moment due to a windstorm. My laptop is running out of battery, so I'd rather post the shorter chapter now, write it better later, and give you all first dibs on when I get the book in hard copy.
As always, I look forward to your thoughts whatever they are, I appreciate them all.
Please don't post this anywhere else! As always, boops for those pets/partners/friends/children/roommates/plants that will tolerate it.
