It's officially here - Take Off Volumes 1 and 2!!! I struggled a lot with designing the covers, and even now still believe it can be better, but ultimately decided that I wanted the covers to show the dynamics between the two characters, as the story has always been about them, their silliness and fondness for each other❤️
Here are some information about each of the books:

As for the paper I've chosen for the book, if you have any of the NSFW zines with you right now, the dust jacket for Vol.1 and 2 are in fact the inner pages of the zines, but with varnish✨ This paper with varnish literally glistens under the sun, and I think it's so lovely T-T❤️
Underneath the dust jacket are hidden book covers which you'll find old drafts and manuscripts I've done for Take Off Season 1. Some of them a real trip down memory lane!
I'm also using Italy's Fedrigoni brand's Nettuno paper for the flyleaves, which are the first and last empty page of the book. It's heavily textured and super nice to the touch, perfect for signing books...😳
For the inner pages, I'm continuing using the paper I've always used for the NSFW zines, but at a lighter weight so the books can still be comfortably held and read at over 200 pages.
These two books were absolutely a beast to make...! But I have been fortunate enough to be guided by the kindest and most knowledgeable people in their fields. I went to the factory multiple times and I thought I'd share these behind-the-scenes photos as they were really fun and exciting!! The books are made via CMYK plates, and we'd spent hours checking the colors and making minor adjustments. Not once did anyone ask about what Take Off is or what it's about XD Everything was about colors and I greatly enjoyed it, and learned a lot!
