An Announcement

Dear Readers,

I have failed to publish the new chapter on the promised date, and have stalled and stalled to no end. I want to take full accountability and have decided to pause July's payment, so that Patrons will not be charged on July 1st.

I am deeply sorry. I've been in this rut unable to finish anything, and I am ashamed to confront my inability to follow through with deadlines. I keep thinking I used to be better at this, but I don't know what's going on. I feel a severe lack in discipline, and the disappointment only builds.

I can only think of this announcement made by Contrapoints on her Patreon, in which she says, "Those of you who've been following me for a while know how this works. In order to finish a video, I have to publicly announce a deadline. Although I will miss that deadline, the shame of missing it will push me to actually ship the product... Because the alternative is that every video turns into a Winds of Winter situation and I never finish anything. The annoyance and embarrassment are necessary, because the strategy only works when I experience genuine shame."

She is so good with words. I feel the embarrassment in my gut, and every time this has happened, I disappear into the void, I don't post or talk on social media, and I make Patrons worry, and I'm genuinely sorry about causing concern.

The good news is I have drawn 40+ panels of work. The bad news is I want to get to a certain dialogue and panel (all of the paneling work's been done, I just need to draw) for the wait to feel worth it. I know it's a bit of a catch-22 - the longer this takes, the more I feel I owe a longer, grander chapter to all of you.

Please let me know for the latest chapter, and this unfortunately only applies to Patrons in the highest Pilot Tier, but everyone is welcome to leave a feedback, if you would prefer the latest chapter to be split into two-parts, so the first part can be made available sooner (though it will be cut slightly to end at a better mid-point), or if you'd prefer the chapter to be released as a whole, with the caveat of a prolonged wait? I genuinely would like to know.

As for the omegaverse launch, I have not forgotten about it, just that chapter work takes priority right now! I anticipate order fulfilment to commence as early as August. There is most certainly enough stock this time, and so I’ve decided to leave the preorder open, all the way until it’s fully stocked and assembled. The discount period for Patrons will also be extended to July 31st.

For the preorder-exclusive bookplates (for orders containing the Frat Box), as I need to make and sign them, I need a number to base on and because this is impossible to do without a clear preorder end date, I will base the number on total frat boxes ordered by the end of this week, and sign a little more than that, and send it off to my store manager. If you would like a guaranteed bookplate, please place your order before July 5th.

That is all from me for now. I apologise again, and genuinely appreciate your support and understanding. This is my favourite place to post and share my work on, because you've all made it a community of its own, and I don't take that for granted.
