Happy Belated New Year, all. Starting 2026 with some major dives into the two huge projects I’ve had looming over my head for a while now. Some small things will come up down the line, but right now my main focus is on the next big sfx film starring a veeeeery beloved size model in collaboration with a powerhouse creator in the industry, and FINALLY getting through finishing the Cat and Mouse game 1.0.
Regarding the latter, most of this week was spent writing the rest of the game, and now it’s just a matter of plugging in the data to ren.py to put it all together. May be another few months, but you can expect that this year, especially while I have no other short-term projects to distract from it.
However, life happens when it’s least convenient. Got word today that my mother’s kidneys are failing and she’ll be going on hospice. I’m trying to work things out with my job and the workload here to see if I can stay with my folks soon and be there in these last few weeks she’s around. I don’t know what my mental state will be while this is happening and especially after once she’s passed on, but I’ll keep you all updated when work is done and I have something to show.
I know it probably sucks to get this news that I may not be as active in the near future in light of this personal event, but I hope you all understand how grateful I am for your support and appreciation for this hobby gig I have here. Without your donations, I wouldn’t have the liberty or flexibility to spend these last weeks of my mom’s life with her and my family, so thank you.
I’ll be back in due time, and likely I’ll find time to code and work on the game during my downtime while visiting, so we’ll see how soon things materialize. Take care, all <3
