Hello to all my wonderful Patrons! First of all, I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuous support and encouragement.
For this past month's update, alongside the 2D illustrations I've been actively creating for you all, I've also started an exciting and challenging new project. I'm merging my drawing skills with my ongoing deep-dive into 3D printing for a major goal... making Kigurumi masks!
🛠️ What I've been up to: Merging 2D and 3D
Illustrations & Design: Over the past month, I've kept up with my regular illustrations while exploring new character designs. I'm using these drawings as the foundation for the facial features and overall style of the masks.
Diving into ZBrush & Blender: To bring my 2D sketches to life, I've spent time learning 3D modeling techniques. I've been focusing heavily on surface smoothing to ensure the masks have perfect proportions and look beautiful in 3D.
3D Printer Preparation: I'm seriously researching and comparing 3D printers right now. I'm looking into both FDM printers for building large structural parts and high-resolution resin printers (like the Anycubic Photon M7 Max) to find the most practical setup for creating durable, flawless Kigurumi masks.
🚀 Future Goals
Turning 2D Art into Reality: My main goal is to take my 2D designs, sculpt them into 3D models, print them, sand them, do the faceup (painting/makeup), and assemble them into fully finished Kigurumi masks.
Elevating my 2D Art: The 3D skills I'm practicing won't just be for printing. I'll be using these 3D models as a base for posing and lighting references in my regular 2D illustrations, ensuring I keep delivering high-quality artwork for everyone to enjoy.
