It's time for another music update! This post includes a few more sound design experiments, and two WIPs from the Cum Zone IV Instrumental.Infected LeadThis is another sound design experiment. The main goal was to figure out the distorted guitar-like sound that Infected Mushroom create using their synths. The melody was originally planned as part of an intro section for Cum Zone IV - but this idea eventually fell through. The main plugins I used for this session were Manipulator and Guitar Rig 6.7/4 GrooveThis is a section from Cum Zone IV that was scrapped. This tends to happen with about 90% of the music I write, though in this case it sounded pretty cool on its own so I kept it as a separate file even though it is not likely to ever be used. This clip uses a combination of many techniques from previous sound design experiments. Kick2, Serum, Manipulator, Gatekeeper, Guitar Rig 6, and Nani (The Hentai Distortion plugin) were all used.Psytrance AThis is a direct continuation of the Kick & Bass & Percussion Test that I shared last month. It is also the first section of Cum Zone IV that I feel reasonably confident in - but I am not 100% happy with it yet. It certainly has the sound I want to go for, but the composition is just a little bit too boring IMO. If I can come up with something better, I may end up replacing it. This uses all the same techniques as the 7/4 Groove file.Planet BellThis is another sound design experiment. It was made using Mikro Prism, the free version of the REAKTOR PRISM. It seems like a great plugin for creating trippy soundscapes. Thankfully with your support I will be able to pick up the full version next month :)Psytrance BThis is another section of Cum Zone IV that I recently completed. This would be for one of the female vocal sections, as I plan to have both male and female vocals throughout this track. It's not directly connected to Psytrance A at the moment, but I could do so with about 30 seconds worth of additional material. This uses a combination of all previously mentioned plugins. That's all I have for now! I'm starting to feel pretty excited about this project. The more I work on the audio, the more great visual ideas come to mind. Thank you all once again for your support!
