BEAKY! BEAKY! BEAKY! I couldn't help myself. The throes of hyperfixation has me in a tight grip. I had to make Warhammer 40k art. My inner child demanded it. My desire for joy demanded it.
I adore the look of beaked Space Marines. They're just little guys, man. All Astartes are my special little guys, but especially the beaked ones. I was channeling a lot of old school warhammer art. Especially the art of John Blanche. I was REALLY in the zone with the hatch shading and texturing. It was like painting with lines.
I'm really proud of how the Bolter itself came out. I gave it as much love as possible.
