Robotnik Destroys Steven Universe - SNEAK PEEK #4:
Click here to see the latest Sneak Peek of "Robotnik Destroys Steven Universe"!This sneak peek is one of several scenes I've been working on this month for my latest Robotnik nideo. I know I've been doing a lot of Sneak Peeks, but I figure there's too not much harm in it. If you want to stay unspoiled, you can always avoid them. I think I've reached a point with FP4 where I don't really want to spoil much else - but since RDSU is a lower stakes video, I don't mind sharing a bit extra with the swell brigade. These previews mesh well with my work flow throughout the month; I can focus on creating full nideos, and show a small snippet of the progress I made on them - as opposed to taking time away from working on full nideos in order to whip up something more unique for Patreon. I'm not saying I won't ever do that anymore, but Sneak Peeks will probably be the norm when I'm extra focused on my current projects. It's also worth noting that typically when I share a Sneak Peek, I am not always sharing the full scene. Sometimes I do, but there have been several instances where I intentionally cut it off right before something more exciting happens. That way, when you swellards see the full nideo, you'll have some extra little surprises. I sometimes rework/tweak scenes after sharing them as Sneak Peeks anyway, so there's always some potential for freshness even if you've seen the early previews.
Nideo Progress:
Fesh Pince:Slow and steady - that's how it's been with the ol' FP4. A lot of dwelling on edits, trying to improve them - with a good bit of success, I'd say. Ironed out some problem areas, and made decent progress adding to various scenes.I will admit, I found myself focusing more on the Robotnik nideo this month, which is something I really need to keep in check - but I feel like I'd drive myself crazy if I didn't switch off to edit other things here and there. When I'm sitting there tinkering with FP4 for too long, I eventually hit a wall where new ideas seemingly refuse to come to me unless I work on something else for a while. Thankfully, working on other projects does help alleviate that issue. I carry that inspiration from working on the Robotnik nideo back over to Fesh Pince, then I convert it to Carlton-flavored inspiration. So yeah, it's taking some time, but I'm getting closer. I just wish that inspiration came easier. I have to remember that I already have so much done, and it's just a matter of finishing this behemoth up. I'll get there.A funny side note: before I started working on FP3 for my return to YouTube, I would sometimes dream that I had portions of a new Fesh Pince done. I'd think "Well, I have some good stuff here, I just need to add to it and finish it up - then I'll finally have new content to post." I can't remember any of the jokes from my dream, only a vague scene of Uncle Phil in the kitchen at night.Robotnik Captures Steven Universe: Slow and steady, like with FP4, but things have been shaping up excellently so far. Not much new or interesting to say without going into spoilers, but I'm the king of reiterating myself - so I shall say things regardless. Now if you'll remember, last month I stated that RDSU was giving me more trouble than FP4, but this month it was the opposite. Sure, I did get snagged on it here and there, but overall I'd say I was coming up with Robotnik ideas faster than I could edit them. As per usual, some of them ended up being duds, but a lot of it just clicked and worked out swimmingly.I won't go into the contents of the Sneak Peek in case you haven't seen it, but it was a snippet of one of the scenes I was working on this month. I spent more time getting that to look right than I probably should have, but I'm happy with how it came out. It obviously still looks janky, but it's what I'd call "polished jank." Got a lot more done than what was shown in that preview, and I can't wait for you swellbellies to see it all.All in all, I'd say it was a great month for editing. There are times when I have a plan for one of those big defining moments in a nideo, and when I implement it - it just works perfectly. This month, I got two of those moments for RDSU, along with some more minor edits that worked really well. Very happy about that.Reminder about the delay for FP4 in relation to future nideos:
My next nideo after FP4 won't take nearly as long to complete as FP4 is taking. It's very important for me to make sure FP4 lives up to the legacy of the previous installments, so I'm taking as much time as necessary to come up with worthy edits, and to polish the hell out of it. FP4 is also significantly longer than my usual nideos - adding to the delay. After it's complete, I'll focus on making nideos that aren't as absurdly long, and my upload cadence will be more reasonable.

Closing thoughts:
There you have it folks, another month ripped away from us by Uncle Time. Stupit Uncle Time.Has this been another shitty month for the world?Perhaps. Has this been a decent month for the editing progress of one particular strange fellow who makes unhinged esoteric videos on the internet?Oh yeah. Editing didn't make me feel like an unfunny worthless idiot in February, and that's all I can hope for.As always, I appreciate you swell folks immensely! You give me the motivation to keep on going when times are tough, and I can't express how much that means to me. The financial support makes a huge difference in my life, and being able to share things with you each month makes the long nideo creation process feel much less creatively isolating. Thanks so much for being patient, and I hope you all have a marvelous March. I'll see you swell-ass fiends next month!
tl;dr:
-Shared another Sneak Peek at "Robotnik Destroys Steven Universe"! Click here to view that sucker.-Got some good edits and improvements for FP4 this month, but admittedly, I focused on the Robotnik nideo a bit more than I should have. Gonna try to keep that balance in check better for next month.-Robotnik nideo editing and progress was exceptional. Was coming up with ideas faster than I could edit them. A few were duds, but most worked out exactly how I wanted them to. Very happy with it so far.-Reminder: Once Fesh Pince 4 is complete, I'll be uploading nideos at a more reasonable pace. FP4 is long as heck, and needs extra time in the oven to maximize smiles.-All in all, editing went great this month. As always, I appreciate you patrons immensely! The financial support makes a huge difference in my life, and sharing updates with you each month makes the creative process feel less isolating. Thanks so much for being patient, and giving me the support and motivation and keep at it!-Patreon content for March TBD!
