Robotnik Destroys Steven Universe - SNEAK PEEK #5:
Click here to see the latest Sneak Peek of "Robotnik Destroys Steven Universe"!As with all Sneak Peeks, you should avoid watching it if you don't want spoilers for the full nideo! This Sneak Peek is a small portion of what I've been working on this month, and it's a direct continuation of last month's Sneak Peek - so I'd advising watching that one first for proper context. I was a little hesitant to share this section of the video because I kinda wanted to save it for the full release, but I ultimately decided there was no harm in it. I cut it off before it gets too crazy, and I figure anybody who doesn't want to be spoiled can just avoid these previews anyway. My current plan for Patreon content is to focus primarily on Sneak Peeks, that way I can prioritize editing nideos while still providing some fun stuff for you swell patrons. For the time being, I'll be sticking to previews of this Robotnik YTP. Fesh Pince 4 probably won't have any more Sneak Peeks, but I can't say for sure.
Nideo Progress:
• Fesh Pince:This month I maintained a much better balance when it came to swapping between working on FP4 and the Robotnik YTP. Had a few ideas to spruce up some scenes, so I focused on that. Still trying to get those subpar scenes to a place I'm happy with. I made some decent progress towards that - not as much as I'd like, but it's getting there. Every once in a while something just clicks, and I figure out what a scene needs to give it that extra oomph. Additionally, I've been rearranging the order of some of the major scenes. I have the order mostly pinned down, but sometimes I'll have an idea that requires things to be restructured. There's also instances where I transfer a joke/concept from one scene to another. Gotta be careful about the order of things, because if I have a running gag, I need to make sure subsequent uses of it come after the scene that initially introduced it.That might sound obvious, but because I often bounce between editing a bunch of different segments, I'll occasionally run into issues balancing the joke chronology with the order of scenes. I'm also still working on connecting many of those scenes with transitional segments; I want to ensure everything flows together nicely.
• Robotnik Captures Steven Universe: Had a blast working on it this month. Lots of really elaborate visual edits, some of which can be seen in the Sneak Peek I shared - but don't worry, I won't go into any spoilers in this section. I was honestly getting to a point where I was thinking "Maybe I should split this into two separate nideos." but I probably won't be doing that. A lot of my edits came out exactly how I wanted them to, so I'm very pleased with the progress. Those elaborate visual gags can take a while to do, but they're very much worth it in my opinion. There was one thing that I wanted to do that I'm not sure how to achieve, but I'm hoping I can figure it out with some research. It's something pretty basic for a non-idiot, but I'm not yet familiarized with the interface of the program that I need to use for it, so I'd have to learn that first.I was also running into trouble with some Captain Rescue sentence mixing. Captain Rescue only appears in one episode of AoStH, so I'm extremely limited in what I can do with his dialog. I decided to search around for other characters that Garry Chalk (the VA for Captain Rescue) has played to use them for more material to work with. There were a TON, but I was struggling to find ones that sounded close enough to Captain Rescue to be usable. A lot of them were were off just enough to not be compatible. I skimmed through a bunch of episodes of Transformers: Beast Wars (which is a profoundly hideous show, by the way) to look for dialog that could be used to tighten up some word mixes - and I actually did find something that I was able to utilize to improve a word mix. If you know of any characters Garry has played that sound exactly like Captain Rescue, do let me know!• Reminder about the delay for FP4 in relation to future nideos:
My next nideo after FP4 won't take nearly as long to complete as FP4 is taking. It's very important for me to make sure FP4 lives up to the legacy of the previous installments, so I'm taking as much time as necessary to come up with worthy edits, and to polish the hell out of it. FP4 is also significantly longer than my usual nideos - adding to the delay. After it's complete, I'll focus on making nideos that aren't as absurdly long, and my upload cadence will be more reasonable.

Miscellaneous/Closing thoughts:
One of my better months for editing, I'd say. Things never go exactly how I want them to, but my mindset was in a decent state for most of March, and I made some contributions to both projects that I'm happy with.I've been having a lot of computer anxiety lately, though. Running into weird little issues and hiccups that can be hard to diagnose. Right now, everything is running fine, and even if something does go wrong, I back up all my shit regularly - but computer issues still stress me out more than they should. There were a few issues that I've resolved already, and some that aren't causing huge problems, but are somewhat concerning to me. Everything seems alright for now, though. Just hope it stays that way.Anyhow - thanks again to all you cute and intelligent swellevisions for sticking around to support me! As I say every month, it means a ton to me. Keeps me motivated, and makes me feel exceptionally swell. Appreciate all of you very dang much! I'll see ya next month for another update!
tl;dr:
-Another new Sneak Peek at "Robotnik Destroys Steven Universe"! Click here to see it!-Balanced my focus between FP4 and the Robotnik YTP much better this month. Made good progress on both. Worked on sprucing up stuff in FP4, rearranging segments and improving/adding transitional scenes.-Came up with a lot of elaborate visual edits for the Robotnik nideo - some of which can be seen in the Sneak Peek. Might need to learn to use another program for one of the edits I have planned.-Searched through footage of different characters that Garry Chalk (the VO for Capt. Rescue) played in order to find more material to do sentence mixing for the rotund raccoon, but none of them sounded close enough to be particularly useful. Lemme know if you're aware of any character he's played that sounds exactly like Capt. Rescue!-Reminder: Once Fesh Pince 4 is complete, I'll be uploading nideos at a more reasonable pace. FP4 is long as heck, and needs extra time in the oven to maximize smiles.-Had some stress due to PC issues. Some I resolved, others are a bit of a mystery, but don't seem to be too big of a problem currently.-As always, I appreciate you fine, supportive swell folks. Thanks so much for your support and patience!-Patreon content for April TBD!
