Now as for the guide, let's start with the basic setup first. This will primarily cater to Kick streamers since it's the newest platform that we integrated, but all the steps apply to all platforms as well (FB/Twitch/YT).

How to Download Nox Bot + Initial Setup

1. Download NoxBotGG from the website: https://noxbot.gg -- it's available for Windows and macOS

2. Launch the app and sign in with Kick or any of the four streaming platforms (you can link the other accounts later)

3. Grant the requested permissions then click Allow Access (these are necessary in order for Nox Bot's features to function, such as read chat, post replies, check channel and stream status, etc.)

4. OPTIONAL: Go to the account management panel to link all your other accounts as needed.Note: You need to link your Patreon or Discord account to unlock benefits/features corresponding to you Patreon tier or Discord role, but if you won't use the extra features, this is optional. Nox Bot is FREE, but some more complex features are enjoyed as benefits by supporters on Patreon who help keep the development alive. You can get a 7-day Champion trial if you want to try all the features: https://www.patreon.com/NoxBotGG

For the other streaming platforms, you only need to link them if you're gonna use Nox Bot on those platforms.

Then when you're live, just turn on Nox Bot for the respective platforms you want it to hook up to in order to perform its functions for your defined keywords, timers, event handlers, economy system, loyalty tracking, queueing, etc.

If you have multiple platforms linked, it will look something like this:

=====

How to setup keywords, timers, and event handlers

Each keyword, timer, or event handler can execute multiple actions that you can define. For example, you can create a keyword for "!dance" so that if someone types that in the chat, Nox Bot will autoreply with "Let's dance @%name%!", that plays a sound, and also shows an animation in your OBS scene by toggling a scene item visibility. Let's use this example for our setup steps:

1. Go to Keywords > Add New Keyword

2. Enter the keyword that you want to match plus its variants (in our example, we'll use the !dance command as the primary keyword with !party as an alternative command that executes the same things). Feel free to set all the other options according to your preferences.

3. Scroll down and add actions. In our example, we'll be adding 3 actions: Auto reply, Play sound, and OBS: Set source visibility

3.a Add action: Auto reply

3.b Add action: Play sound (in this example, let's just choose retro_alert_001.mp3)

3.c Add action: OBS: Set source visibility -- Select the scene name, source name, and check Enabled. (This assumes that your OBS connect settings were already setup in Nox Bot, but if not, simply go to the Settings screen in the Nox Bot GG app)

4. Click Save

Once saved, Nox Bot will perform the defined actions for this keyword whenever it is turned on.

And now you're ready to create more keywords! Similar steps apply when creating or configuring timers and event handlers.

Economy System ("Channel Points" System) Quick Overview and Guide

Nox Bot's economy system provides a way for viewers to earn virtual currency or coins (similar to Channel Points on Twitch) by engaging in your live chat. This helps drive engagement and incentivizes viewers to chat, but not to the point of spamming as it has earning cooldown as well. You can also change the name of your coins anytime to suit your image or branding. (Note: The economy system is a Champion+ feature but you can get a 7-day trial in Patreon if you want to try all the features.)

Let's do a quick overview.

* Economy SettingsGo to Economy > Settings

Here you can configure various economy settings such as the currency name, earning rate, role exclusion, attendance bonus settings, item redemption command, gacha commands, and other economy system-related details.

* Item ShopGo to Economy > Shop

You can define various redeemable items for your stream. It can be digital items, a fan sign or fan service, a signed photo, a shirt, a badge -- anything you want as long as you can deliver it!

By default, viewers will be able to redeem items in the command format !redeem .Example: !redeem battlepass OR !redeem mug 2

* GachaGo to Economy > Gacha

You can also setup a "gachapon" where viewers can randomly pull certain items or rewards for a defined cost, which may be of lower or higher value than the cost to pull. Just make sure you plan your probabilities accordingly to make this a good coin sink with excitement, and ensure that your jackpot prizes (if any) are limited and have a fairly low probability (weight) of getting pulled.

* Redeemed ItemsGo to Economy > Redeemed Items

From here, you can manage your redeemed items. Coin returns from the gacha are automatically tagged as completed, while items from your shop and limited items from the gacha need manual status tagging since those are things you may need to deliver to the viewer manually or IRL.

Other Features Overview and How to Utilize

There are a lot of other features but I'll condense them now and give you an idea of its uses and how to utilize them. Of course, feel free to get creative and use them differently to your own benefit!

Viewer Database & Loyalty

Track viewer statistics across all platforms and see the most active users in your community

Statistics include comment count, number of streams active, last active time, and loyalty which is a customizable metric that you can configure in Viewers > Settings > Loyalty Settings

You can also manage their roles (from Nox Bot's perspective), add or deduct coins, export the entire viewer database table, and more

This allows you as a content creator to get an idea of the activity level of your community, and perhaps cook up some reward system or do something like acknowledging your most active viewers on-stream that can go such a long way

Queueing System

Used to allow viewers to queue up for viewer games, song requests, build reviews, or any kind of organized queue you can think of

You can put coin cost for the queue for special activities if you want, which serves as a coin sink while also incentivizing viewers to save up their coins for your special queues for viewer games or whatever activities you have in mind.

Predictions

Allows viewers to predict a particular outcome in-game using their coins (for example, you can hold a prediction session whether you will win this particular round or not, or which character you will get, etc)

The viewers who placed coins on the winning result will split the total amount of coins placed for the prediction session, divided proportionately according to their placed coins

You can configure a "house cut percentage" in Predictions > Settings to serve as coin sink

This adds additional excitement and layer of engagement with the viewers, and best paired with redeemable rewards in your item store or if you are holding giveaway (see below) so their coin winnings have more value.

Giveaways

Hold giveaways that may span across multiple streams (1 month, 1 week, your choice). This incentivizes viewers to save up coins for your events or giveaways and also serves as a coin sink.

Set the ticket costs so more engaged viewers can redeem more tickets and therefore has a higher chance of getting drawn. You also have the option to draw multiple winners or to restrict joining to certain roles only.

Combined Live Chat OBS Overlay / Dock

Setup a combined live chat overlay that you can add to your OBS sources to display the combined live chat on your stream (Home > Live Chat Panel > Click the "Get OBS browser source overlay" button)

You can also setup a custom browser dock for OBS to display the combined live chat on OBS (Home > Live Chat Panel > Click the "Get OBS browser dock" button) -- this way, you can monitor your chat from OBS itself and you can keep Nox Bot minimized or in the background.

Chat RPG

Viewers can go on virtual adventures through chat, earn EXP and level up, allocate stats, earn coins, duel each other and more!

Succeeding gains EXP, coins, or both

Failing may or may not lose EXP/coins (depending on the encounter)

Encounters differ depending on the viewer's level

Success rate also changes depending on the viewer's level

Initially comes with 304 built-in random encounters (both combat and non-combat) spread across levels 0~100 to make a varying experience as viewers level up

Fully customizable encounters to tune or theme the events to your branding or content -- make them funny, serious, dark, sci-fi, ninja-themed or whatever you want your encounters, events, and/or monsters to be

Sample TSV file provided for the data format

Revert any time to the built-in encounters

Feel free to share your custom encounters in our Discord

Levelling up grants stat points that users can allocate to one of the 4 stats (HP/ATK/DEF/SPD)

Viewers can duel other viewers and wager coins (the same coins in your Economy System)

Viewers can wager any amount of coins in duels (even zero, if they want a friendly match)

At the current level of balancing, one can overcome an opponent up to 8 levels higher than them with a good stat distribution

Viewers can also earn EXP just by chatting, with various options to tweak earning rate

Chat RPG-related stats are also tracked and exported with the viewer data CSV

Generally, this helps keep viewers engaged during chat downtimes, keep competitive viewers busy, and the curious ones will also want to discover the various different encounters, overall boosting engagement
