The rabbit post caused a lot of excitement both on Patreon and our Discord server (yay, we got it moving!) The announcement was quite controversial, so we’ve decided to write a long, detailed post to answer your question and dispel any rumors.
We understand that some of you were shocked. We have been making fan content within the Dota 2 universe for many years. Let’s talk about it: 10 years, 4 games, 180+ scenes worth of art and dialogue, when suddenly, a furry heroine at the gloryhole who has absolutely nothing to do with Dota. The obvious first question is, why? The answer is simple: we wanted to try something new.
The second question is, does that mean we’re going to abandon our Dota fan games? The answer: of course not. We value our fanbase and love this universe, and updates for Luna in the Tavern will continue. The original Tavern will soon receive a big new update with five (!) Lyralei scenes. We hope to release an update every month or two. You can expect at least two updates for Lyralei’s extra arc, then a few more Lanaya scenes, after which the plot will be wrapped up. Besides that, we will continue releasing updates for Tavern Animated. We’re making a lot of progress on development speed – the endings update for Act 2 is almost done, with most of our efforts focused on Act 3 with Mirana (the animations make her look like a super thot!)
You may notice that this is a lot of content. This scale is possible thanks to your donations – we have several people working with us now. We’ve changed some of our old methods in the new year to make our workflow faster and more coordinated. You can see the results already – we’ve released an update for both “regular” and Animated Luna in the Tavern and two gloryhole updates.
Now, back to the new heroine. The rabbit will be the second character available in The Hole of Glory. Just like Luna, she will have a regular and naked version, as well as all of the gameplay mechanics, cards, poses, emotions and dialogue. We want you to feel like you’re playing a new character, for her to feel different and not just a skin for the same gameplay. You could say we’re asking “What if this character really was at the gloryhole? What reasons could she have to be doing this? What is she feeling and thinking? What is she better and worse at?” This approach will be applied to all future gloryhole characters, and there will certainly be more.
Practically all of the new heroine’s visuals are ready – the poses, two sets of penises for the clients (we read all of your feedback, and we’re adding more variety for penises, with more to be added for Luna’s clients in the future) and about half of the cards. We do our utmost to create awesome art, and that’s cool in its own way – to see different characters with their own quirks on the same cards. Also, we even added a new emotion slot just for the rabbit – ears!
Future heroines will be added via public polls. You might have noticed that Patreon (and other platforms)’s policies are changing, so in the future, we will avoid naming new characters directly, but their inspirations will be named as references, so you will always know what you’re choosing from. The referenced characters will be from various universes – we want to keep experimenting. Polls will feature 5-6 heroines that we will choose, but the final decision will rest with you. But don’t hesitate to tell us who you’d like to see, here in the comments or on Discord! We’re happy to hear your feedback!
