Valve just announced a new Steam Machine, a new VR headset, and a new Steam Controller! That is one hell of a way to wrap things up.
Welp, they actually did it. Linux gaming has made its way into the living room and soon everyone will be covering it. Proton has gotten so good that you honestly do not need us anymore. The past couple of years we found ourselves showing up just to say everything still works, and that is not the kind of energy we started this with. We wanted to help push things forward, and now things are moving on their own. So we are wrapping things up on a medium note. No drama and no fuss. Life and other projects are pulling us in new directions, and that is alright.
There is a bit of house cleaning to do since over the years things have kind of just piled on top of Linux Game Cast. The Discord will stay up until the end of the month, and then it will be mothballed when the pause button is tapped on Patreon.
Interfacing Linux and LWDW now have their own Discord and Patreon, and you will see us and other familiar faces in both. The TM2 Crew will be moving over to the Interfacing Linux Discord at the end of the month to continue our acrobatic adventures.
Thank you for the years of support and for spending time with us. It's been a wild ride.
