Hey All,Wanted to put out an update post for this month. First I want to say thank you to everyone who play tested the early build. I've gotten a lot of feedback from the build and I plan to make a few changes in which I will mention below. I just wanted to give special thanks to Otro, a fellow dev who has been helping me with bug fixes as things have been brought up.Upcoming changes to the build:A lot of the feedback I have been getting has been in relation to combat. For the most part the conversion to the mp build up system with attacks seems to work well. The largest issue I've been getting has been unbalanced enemies and equipment which can lead to a sharp difficulty curve. I plan to balance these things out so that the experience as you progress the story remains somewhat consistent. I knew with the changes to combat that it would be a bit of a rocky start but with all the feedback it's helped me show what areas need to be fixed and adjusted. I'll post below some quick notes of changes.Focused Changes:-Adjusting enemy stats to be more balanced-Adjusting player equipment to be more balanced-Returning gold to monsters-Returning restore points before bosses-Improving meal tutorial/explanation as well as fixing meal bugs-Adjusting consumable costs in stores-Allowing more stores to let you sell your goods-Various bug fixes tied to broken cutscenesThis seems like a busy time of year for me but hoping to get a public build ready by next month. After the build goes public, I plan to work on the final story content for the game. This means that the next major build will likely be the last in terms of story content. Erron (the game story writer) has finished the story script and now I just need to work on map design and evening. Outside of game development there are a few things I want to mention. First is this years upcoming game jam! We are looking to support creators and fellow devs and encouraging them to create preggo focused games. The jam will start in April and in May the games will be released for everyone to play. I would recommend looking at the previous years game jams if you haven't already to see what it looks like.https://itch.io/jam/preggo-game-jam-4Secondly is the discord situation. The platform that I tend to be most active is discord. With the update to discord to require ID in order to use certain aspects of discord, it will likely affect the server. Honestly I don't know how bad it will be but from my understanding, this is a strong likelihood myself and many others will be locked out of the server unless I hand over my ID, which I don't plan to do at this time. We are looking at alternatives but as a side effect of this change you may see me a bit more active on this platform since this is one of the areas for people to get in contact with me. In any case figured I would let you all know on how things are going and look forward to sharing the public build next month.
