The ring can store data about a structure & reconfigure material that passes though it.
It also scans and remembers the original form of anything it changes so it can be reverted to normal.
This one was meant to be used on blocks of silicone to make toys with like they tested at the start but then they had another idea.
An Idea that he liked so much that he couldn't risk the change being undone. <3
