vfx / system design / soundscape: myself

For this piece, I wanted to explore continuous motion across different AI-generated shots, later recomposed through my Perceptual Display Engine patch for TouchDesigner.

The workflow:

I first generated a “main” reference image in Midjourney: a centered empty swing, late-afternoon light, nostalgic rural playground atmosphere.

Then I used that same image as a reference in Uisato Studio's "Image Studio" to create several environmental variations of the same scene:

calm late-afternoon memory image

wildfire catastrophe

dry field / swarm atmosphere

heavy snow

another golden-hour / empty-field variation

After that, I used Uisato Studio' "Seedance 2.0 Video" mode to create the master motion shot: locked camera, realistic pendulum swing, wind moving through the environment.

Once the swing motion felt right, I used that video as the motion reference for the other image variations. So the visual world changed, but the swing kept the same motion logic across the different scenes.

Finally, I brought the generated videos into TouchDesigner and used my Perceptual Display Engine patch to expose only a few frames [4] from each video at a time, creating an unstable flickering composite between memory, catastrophe, weather, absence, and repetition.

Voilá, one empty swing, several emotional realities, and a perceptual playback system holding them together.
