From ringside, it looked like a mismatch. Sera was a tough fighter but she was smaller and lighter. Though Jace had been worn down by the past 2 opponents, he was still a champion, and that force showed as he controlled the ring for the first couple of minutes.
Sera kept the pressure up and slowly chipped at his defenses, eventually edging him out in speed and precision, nailing the champion with a couple of clean shots that had him on the ropes.
The audience was on their feet. Was this it?
Sera leaned up close with Jace, savouring the exhaustion on his face. "Not so strong now, aren't you?" She murmurs so softly only those by the ropes hear her. Jace is silent, and so Sera puts him on his knees with a big right hook.
The crowd's roar shakes the windows. Jace, for the first time tonight, has been dropped. He's on a knee, clutching Sera's calves as she flexes triumphantly. No one expected her to put up such a ferocious fight, and right now it looks like Sera's finished Jace off.
The champion stares blankly at the canvas, deaf the the pleas of his fans to stand back up.
