Hey guys, this is my idea for a new profile header. Gokong, in a more savage outfit lurking in a dark forest. I wanted this time to play with a more "Planet of the Apes" concept. A gorilla that can be interpreted not just as a furry anthro, but as another primate that took the path of conscience. Something more ambiguous and sinister.
I've struggled a lot with the palette this time. I always struggle, but this time I wanted to get a mood and I'm not sure I've hit it. A compromise between the character blending with the forest but also being distinguishable, being covered by enough darkness to make it feel threatening, but also recognizable.
I guess I should add another couple of layers and start smudging the contours between the color areas to get something in a more painterly style. But I'm so scared to mess it up.
