DESCRIPTION

When you love feeling the weight, solidity, and ache of your body under exertion a bit too much. Or just well enough. The guy is Gorilla Boof, and this is a Patreon request for Painbow.I took the occasion this time to practice what I've learned in these weeks with Blender. If the background looks like it's made in 3D, it is. I modeled the bench, the rack, and a bunch of dumbbells then applied a toon-style shader. Do I know how to apply shaders? Damn no! I'm allergic to coding and I've just copied a youtube tutorial having no idea which node was doing what. The 2D art was still done in Blender, with the Grease Pencil tool, which is a bit clunkier compared to raster-based digital art, but has its perks, like being able to change a color area or deform the lineart without disrupting the pixel map.(Because there are no pixels, it's all vectors.)

For sure an interesting method. And most of all, those assets are infinitely reusable, since they're 3D, and they may be the first building blocks of a room where I will set all my gym-based scenes and stories. The gym for special workouts, where if the last rep didn't make you nut, you haven't done it right.
