Zen 6 is confirmed: 24 physical cores. This is not only about peak performance - it’s also about how Windows behaves on highly multi-core systems. Average FPS can look fine, while the real pain shows up in smoothness: 0.1% / 1% lows, frametime instability, micro-stutter, thread migration, and background interference.

That’s why I spent the last month studying what actually hurts gaming comfort on Windows, and which mechanisms can be improved in a practical way. Today’s update ships a rebuilt T-CONTROL, focused on real stability, not just benchmark numbers.

I can’t disclose every internal detail this time (to avoid the work being cloned), but the core change is this: game process control moved to a lower level, enabling a more isolated execution environment. In practice, that means less background noise and interrupts, fewer context switches, and less unnecessary workload migration across cores.

Also worth highlighting: SMT is no longer something you automatically fight against. In this new approach, SMT can actually help smoothness and stability, especially in scenarios where it used to hurt.

And to be fully honest: this is a first iteration and a partial implementation of all my ideas. This does not imply bugs, crashes, or instability - it only means that not every game will respond with a dramatic “WOW” effect or feel like a “cinematic mode.” First, this is the start of a big, highly ambitious mini-project. Second, hardware and platform limits are real - in some scenarios, the system simply cannot deliver more than what the architecture allows.

Fixed a critical bug in “CHECK MY MEM”.

In games, RTSS now displays additional information about which API is used by the game, as well as information about the two top game threads.

The game trigger now has memory during the session. This means that the “game running” state becomes more permanent, even if the render freezes.

PresentMon has been updated to version 2.4.1.
