Happy Monday!
First off, I want to take this moment to ask that no one puts any blame on my proofreader. Remember, I announced his involvement on the week of BETA testing. And due to personal obligations, he couldn't start until the following week. Normally proofreaders have access to the script well in advanced and can carefully go through the script and fix things. On top of that, because JB was doing proofing, I told the BETA team to just focus on bugs and visual errors. So a lot of pressure was put on JB. So put any frustration on the illiterate dev (that's me :) ) and not him.
Huge thank you to everyone. I don't want to say much right now as I'm preparing the spelling errors and other tweaks for this Friday's release for T-800. After this Friday, I'll be taking a short break (1-2 weeks) before jumping into CH8 development which will be bringing Book 2 to a close. I've seen a lot of questions asked about the expo. Each chapter spans about a week and I've deliberately have characters reference the timeframe to the expo. I've also mentioned here and Discord a few times. The expo is a CH9 event, it's the chapter that kicks off Book 3.
I'm hoping to be more proficient in Blender by that time. Reason being I can create large crowds better there and I'd rather not have The McCreed expo that has such a build up only to have what DAZ can handle a few attendees. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
I'm working on getting that last set of animations done (4 of them) before this Friday's update for T-800. Blender has been such a joy to be work in. I hadn't been in Blender since BETA of CH7, so first couple of animations were a struggle, but started to get into the groove of it. Doing things like manipulating the mesh so the bed shows the weight of the character instead of them clipping into it is a nice detail that I'm sure many aren't paying attention to for obvious reasons, lol. But you can see it under her back in this frame.
I'm going to get back to it now. To recap, this Friday I'll be pushing the update with spelling fixes and remaining animations. After that, I'm gonna take a 1-2 week break. When I return, I'll announce the official beginning of CH8 development and discuss CH7 things. Things like stuff that was put on the cutting room floor, certain narrative choices, etc. (hopefully by the time I return from break, mostly everyone should be caught up.)
Again, big big thank you to everyone. BETA team too! First release that was bug free!
See you all Friday!
