IF YOU ARE GETTING THE "THIS VIDEO IS PRIVATE" ERROR IN THE PATREON APP ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE, PLEASE VIEW MY PAGE ON YOUR MOBILE BROWSER INSTEAD AND THE VIDEOS SHOULD WORK FINE.
Hi everyone! I'm currently in the process of moving all my content to another new video host after Vimeo kicked me off. Google drive wasn't ideal because I couldn't embed the videos directly in my posts and also they limit the amount of views a video can have in a short time period.
My new host doesn't have any of those issues but there is one tiny thing that is a bit inconvenient, which I'm explaining here:
The Patreon mobile app doesn't support my video host for some reason, so if you try to access my videos on the app, you will get an error saying "This video is private" or something similar. To get around this, all you need to do is view the video on a browser on your mobile device instead of the app. 😊
By the way, if you are effected by this issue and have a spare minute, please send a support ticket to patreon and ask them to support sprout video on the mobile app. This will raise awareness of the problem in the hope that Patreon will fix it in a future update. I've already sent a ticket about the problem too. 🙏
