Update: Just a polite reminder that we'll be taping the next Q+A show tomorrow. Feel free to pose your questions before the Monday 8am BST deadline!
Hi everyone, apologies for the late post - it's been that kind of day. I hope you've been enjoying the #content this week. We put John's 007 video live this afternoon pretty much as soon as it was complete - great lunchtime viewing for myself as I ran the quality check. I've also been catching up with DF Clips: we couldn't post anything there from last Friday to this Tuesday - just some legacy IGN stuff that our friends over there fixed as soon as they could.
But this post is all about DF Direct Weekly #266, so what's cooking?
We'll be talking about the shocking Steam Deck price rises, we'll be discussing 007 First Light on PC (for the typical reasons, this will be a little late) - and yes - we're fully aware of the upscaling problems on that version. It's been disappointing for me to see the RTX 4060 delivering a whole 4.5 percent perf "lift" at 1440p DLSS quality mode vs native. 46fps vs 44fps! FSR perf boosts are not affected, but as has become clear - there's no FSR4 support.
We'll also be talking about the announced Witcher 3 expansion along with the welcome news that Switch 2 is getting a COD MW4 port at launch. Other things? We'll be explaining the major roadblock in getting Xbox reviews out at the same time as PlayStation and we'll be looking at the first MGS4 port extended gameplay.
Are you enjoying the retrospectives? Well, it's been five years since the launch of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart - a rare example of an early PS5 exclusive - and ten years since we reviewed the GTX 1070.
Tomorrow it'll be myself, John and Oliver on the panel and any comments and questions or indeed topic suggestions should come in by 8am GMT. Q+A proper? The deadline will be Monday morning at 8am GMT. Many thanks!
