The wait is finally over! I’ve created a functional Over-the-Range Microwave for The Sims 4, also known as a microwave hood or wall-mounted microwave. This has been one of the most requested appliances by my community.
In many modern kitchens, these microwaves are installed right above the stove, saving counter space while working as a vent hood. Simmers have shared lots of tutorials using cheats and base game objects to recreate this look, but those setups were always decorative only. This version is different, it’s 100% functional, so your Sims can actually use it just like a normal microwave while keeping that sleek built-in style.

Space-saving design that fits directly above stoves.
Important Notes
This microwave currently only works with over-the-counter stoves, since it requires the appliances slot to be placed correctly.
Regular stoves are not supported at the moment (I am working on a trick for this)
Animations may look a little odd when Sims use it (due to its higher placement), but the microwave and stove both work perfectly fine.
Your Sims can cook on the stove and reheat food in the microwave without any problems.
If you have trouble placing it, use the cheat: bb.moveobjects.
