(Symphogear Mass Couchification) Akeelas Questionable Mission Part 6
DESCRIPTION

When there is an issue for Nagisa, you can always count on Akeela to save the day! Big party? Large room to fill? Sounds like a job for Akeela!

“I cannot let this stand!” Akeela roared, slamming open the doors of the Grand Library of Unending Chaos, which was still not technically her property, but she continued using it like it very clearly was.

Books on forbidden rituals, eldritch interior design, and worlds that definitely violated several laws of physics rattled violently on their shelves. A suspicious owl blinked once, looked at the clock, and went back to pretending it was a statue.

Akeela, the half-shark girl and self-proclaimed maid of the dark goddess Nagisa, stormed in like a woman who had just witnessed a crime against comfort. Which she had. Absolutely.

Her tail lashed behind her, leaving damp footprints across the marble floor. This still made no sense, as she was wearing professional high heels, but at this point reality had given up trying to argue with her. She carried no books—only outrage and a rapidly forming plan.

She stomped over to the large table in the back, where a glowing crystal screen hovered over a stack of scrolls labeled “DO NOT TOUCH, ESPECIALLY DURING EMERGENCIES.”She touched them anyway.

With a dramatic spin, she sat down, cracked her knuckles, and began typing furiously with her gloved fingers.

“Nagisa-sama is hosting a party in four hours,” Akeela muttered darkly.

She paused. Squinted. Typed again.

“…And she doesn’t have a couch.”

Her eyes widened in horror.

“Not a divine couch. Not a modular couch. Not even an ominous floating throne-couch hybrid. Just… empty space.”

She slammed both hands on the table.

“A party without a proper couch is already bad enough! But a party with gods, demons, and interdimensional guests sitting on chairs?? This is unacceptable on a cosmic level!”

She leapt to her feet and began pulling books off the shelves at random. They crashed to the floor like very disappointed encyclopedias.

“Okay… divine seating… adaptive furniture… comfort enchantments… automated service… wait—”

Her fingers froze above the screen.

A single search result glowed.

“The High-Tech Combat Team saves the world again. The Symphogear girls are unstoppable.”

Akeela leaned in.

“Six girls. Color-coded. Already coordinated. Already powered by ridiculous technology. Already used to magical nonsense.”

Her grin spread slowly.

“…They’re basically a couch waiting to happen.”

She straightened, nodding firmly.

“Perfect. I’ll just fuse them into one massive, multifunctional, automated party couch. Problem solved.”

Without another word, Akeela turned on her heel and marched toward the familiar shallow puddle in the corner of the library. No one knew why it was always there. Some claimed it was a spatial anomaly. Others said it was Akeela’s fault from earlier that day.

She didn’t hesitate.

With one dramatic leap, she dove in headfirst.

SPLOOSH.

The puddle rippled, shimmered… and then stilled.

Akeela was gone.

The party was in four hours. And the couch problem was about to get solved or even more complicated.

At the S.O.N.G headquarters, the training room was alive with motion.

Holographic targets zipped through the air, energy barriers shimmered, and the girls moved in practiced formations—dodging, striking, calling out tactics like it was second nature. Every two days, they met here for a joint session: simulated battles, teamwork drills, and just enough dramatic posing to feel heroic about it.

Eventually, Hibiki called for a short break.

She flopped down on the bench at the edge of the room, grabbed a towel, and started wiping sweat from her face. “Whew… that was intense,” she muttered, reaching for her hot chocolate with one hand and her water cup with the other.

She lifted the cup toward her mouth—

KASPLOOSH!

A red-and-white blur exploded out of the water.

“WAAAH?!”

Hibiki nearly dropped the cup as Akeela burst out of it in a spray of droplets, landing in front of her with perfect balance and a dramatic pose.

Hibiki stared.

Akeela straightened, water dripping from her sleeves, tail flicking proudly.

“Rejoice,” Akeela declared. “I have come to improve the comfort level of your lives!”

Hibiki blinked once.

Twice.

She made a few funny faces as her brain visibly tried to process what had just happened. Then she slowly lowered her raised fists, relaxed her stance, and let out a small giggle.

“…Thank you? I think?”

Akeela nodded approvingly. “You are someone who appreciates my skills. That’s a relief.”

She leaned closer, peering at the cup she’d emerged from.

“Do you mind handing me the water bottle real quick?”

Hibiki hesitated, glancing down at the bottle in her hand, then back at Akeela. The training room was quiet now. A few of the other girls had stopped mid-stretch, watching the scene unfold in silence.

“…Sure?” Hibiki said at last, shrugging and handing it over. “I guess?”

Akeela accepted it with both hands like it was the most natural thing in the world.

“Excellent. This will save a lot of time.”

Hibiki tilted her head.

“…Save time for what, exactly?”

Akeela just smiled, then took the bottle, inspected it for a moment, then dipped her hand inside.

Before Hibiki could even ask what she was doing—

SPLASH.

Akeela flung the water straight at her.

“Wha—?!”

Hibiki barely had time to react before a strange warmth surged through her body, starting from her legs and rushing upward like a wave.

Her feet slid against the floor.

Then… they didn’t feel like feet anymore.

“H-Hey…?” Hibiki muttered, looking down.

Her legs began to convulse and expand, stretching outward as if gravity itself had suddenly doubled. The sleek battle armor around her lower body shimmered, flickered, and then softened, its sharp lines melting into something far more flexible—fabric instead of metal.

The floor creaked.

Hibiki’s thighs widened, her stance forced apart as her lower half grew broader, heavier, and… flatter. The shape of her legs blurred, lengthening and spreading until they no longer resembled anything human at all.

“U-Uh… Lady…? Something’s really—”

Her knees bent involuntarily.

But instead of falling, her body simply kept expanding, her lower half stretching outward and outward, becoming a massive, cushioned structure that rooted itself firmly to the ground.

Wooden textures rippled into existence beneath the fabric, forming a solid internal frame. Plush material spread across the surface, smoothing everything into wide, comfortable curves.

Within seconds, Hibiki’s lower body had transformed completely.

She was no longer standing.

She was… a large living couch section.

Her upper body remained mostly untouched—arms, head, and torso still very much her—but now she was sitting upright at the top of a newly formed backrest, staring down at a body that had become multiple times larger than before.

Her seat had become the seat.

Her legs were gone—replaced by an entire piece of furniture.

“…I’m… Did you just turn me into furniture?” Hibiki asked quietly.

Akeela stepped back, hands on her hips, tail swishing with pride.

“Yes! Excellent structural integrity. Nice cushion density. Very promising.”

Hibiki blinked slowly, then poked the armrest that had once been part of her.

“…I think I just got turned into a couch.”

Akeela nodded. “Correct. You’re doing great so far.”

Hibiki looked up at her.

“…So this is what you meant by ‘improving comfort levels’?”

Akeela beamed.

“We’re just getting started.”

Just in that moment, the training room door slid open.

Chris and Tsubasa stepped inside together, still mid-conversation.

“Hibiki, we were wondering if you—”

They both stopped.

Right in front of them stood an unknown shark girl with a smug expression.

And behind her was Hibiki.

Or rather—part of Hibiki.

Chris blinked.

Tsubasa blinked.

They both stared.

“…Why is Hibiki a couch?” Chris asked slowly.

Hibiki waved weakly from her backrest. “I think I’m being… upgraded?”

Chris and Tsubasa immediately snapped into battle stance.

“Step away from her!” Tsubasa demanded, hand already moving toward her weapon.“Yeah, lady, what did you do to Hibiki?!” Chris added.

Akeela tilted her head.

“Oh, perfect timing. You two are part of the color-coded Team if I recall.”

Before either of them could react—

Akeela dipped her hand back into Hibiki’s water bottle.

SPLASH. SPLASH.

Both Chris and Tsubasa were hit with shimmering water at the same time.

“…What—?”

They didn’t even finish their sentences.

A strange force surged through their legs, identical to what Hibiki had felt. Their bodies convulsed and expanded, balance vanishing as their lower halves began to stretch outward, weight pulling them down.

“Hey— I can’t move my legs—!” Chris yelped.

Tsubasa staggered, gripping the floor. “My stance— it’s—”

Their armor shimmered, softened, and transformed into fabric as their legs widened, flattened, and reshaped, internal structures forming beneath them. The floor creaked again as their lower bodies became broad, cushioned, and immovable.

They were turning into furniture.

Chris looked down in disbelief. “Why does this stuff always happen when we leave Hibiki out of sight for ten minutes—?!”

Before either of them could fully process it—

Akeela casually stepped behind them.

Grabbed both of them under their shoulders.

And lifted them effortlessly.

“Wait— WHAT—”

With one smooth motion, Akeela slammed their rapidly expanding couch-halves directly against Hibiki’s.

The moment they touched—

FWOOOM.

Hibiki’s couch base rippled outward, her structure reacting instantly. The wooden frames merged, fabric flowing together as if liquefying. The three foundations fused into a single, enormous couch platform.

Hibiki’s yellow section blended into Chris’ red one one side, and blended into Tsubasa’s blue on the other. Between them, the colors smoothed into a perfect glowing gradient.

Three massive backrests formed.

Each one now held one girl.

Hibiki in the center.Chris on one side.Tsubasa on the other.

All three connected. All three fused into one solid, unified structure.

Silence.

“…I can’t feel my legs,” Chris muttered.

“…I don’t think we have legs anymore,” Tsubasa added calmly.

Hibiki looked left. Looked right.

“…Guys,” she said softly, “I think we’ve been… combined.”

“YOU THINK?!” Chris blurted, clearly the most outraged of the team.

Akeela stepped back and admired her work.

Three girls. One couch.

She nodded, tail swishing thoughtfully.

“…Alright. That’s a good start.”

Hibiki blinked. “A start for what, exactly?”

“For creating the ultimate colorful couch obviously. Now onto finding the rest of your color-coded team,” Akeela replied casually. “A couch needs symmetry.”

Chris groaned. “I swear, if you say that one more time—”

The training room door slid open again.

Maria, Kirika, and Shirabe stepped inside together.

“Hey, we heard some shouting, is everything—”

Akeela’s ears perked up.

She turned around slowly.

“…Perfect.”

Before any of them could react—

Akeela dipped her hand into the water bottle again and flung a wide arc of shimmering liquid.

SPLASH. SPLASH. SPLASH.

All three were hit at once.

“…Wait, what is th—?”

Kirika didn’t even finish her sentence before the magic took hold.

Their bodies convulsed as the same strange force surged into their lower halves. Their legs locked in place, balance disappearing as their armor softened and began reshaping into fabric and padding.

“Ah—! My legs—!” Shirabe yelped.

Maria staggered. “I can’t— I can’t move—!”

Kirika looked down in confusion. “Guys… I think I’m becoming… hard? Oh, so hard…”

Shirabe just turned to look at Kirika with a cold stare as if she wanted to bonk her for what she just said.

Still, their lower bodies expanded rapidly, flattening and broadening as internal wooden structures formed beneath the fabric. Within seconds, all three were half-transformed, their upper bodies still intact while their lower halves became wide, cushioned couch sections rooted to the floor.

Akeela watched the process with hands on her hips.

“Excellent color balance,” she muttered. “Silver, green, and pink. Very tasteful.”

Then, as if arranging pillows—

She casually picked up Kirika and placed her in the middle.

“Wait— wait— are you planning to sandwich me?!” Kirika squeaked.

Akeela whistled cheerfully, then lifted Shirabe and slammed her gently but firmly into Kirika’s right side.

FWOOOM.

Their couch-halves rippled and fused instantly, wooden frames merging, fabric flowing together into a single connected base.

Kirika barely had time to react before—

Akeela did the same with Maria, pressing her transforming couch-half into Kirika’s left side.

FWOOOM.

The three of them fused into one continuous structure.

Green blended into silver on one side and into pink on the other. Three backrests formed, each holding one very confused girl.

“…I can’t feel where I end anymore,” Shirabe said quietly.

Maria sighed. “This is not how I imagined today going.”

Kirika laughed nervously. “Haha… Do you think my arms count as armrests now?”

Shirabe once again stared at Kirika unimpressed.

Akeela nodded in approval.

“Beautiful.”

Then, with the grace of a proud maid, she lifted the entire Maria–Kirika–Shirabe conglomerate like it weighed nothing at all and carried it across the room, where the first couch, Hibiki, Chris, and Tsubasa, was still waiting.

Akeela aligned them carefully so that Chris’ red section was directly next to Maria’s silver one.

She took a step back.

Checked the symmetry.

And then—

SLAM.

The two massive couch structures collided.

The touching sides immediately began to glow, fabric and internal frames flowing together as the two halves fused into a single, enormous unified foundation.

Red blended into silver. The gradient smoothed. The entire structure settled into one colossal, perfectly balanced mega-couch.

Six backrests.

Six girls.

One impossible piece of furniture.

The training room fell completely silent.

“…We’re not a team anymore,” Chris muttered. “…We’re half a living room.”

A little while later, Nagisa returned to her party room.

It was shortly before the guests were expected to arrive, and she wanted to make sure everything was in order—lighting, atmosphere, spells, snacks, the usual preparations for hosting a gathering of gods, demons, fairies, pink kitsunes and whatever else felt like showing up.

She opened the doors.

And stopped.

“…That’s new.”

Where a modest, empty space had once been, there was now a massive six-piece mega couch, perfectly curved into a smooth semicircle that somehow fit the room exactly. It glowed faintly with soft ambient light, its cushions subtly shifting and adjusting themselves as if alive.

Which they were.

Six familiar faces and their upper halves were embedded above the backrests.

Tsubasa was the first to speak. She inclined her head politely.

“Excuse me. Are you, by chance, the employer of the strange shark lady who turned us into this?”

Nagisa sighed.

“…Yes.”

Tsubasa nodded slowly. “That explains a great deal.”

Nagisa glanced at the couch. “Would you like me to turn you back?”

There was a brief pause.

Then Chris spoke up.

“Wait, hold on. Is there actually a party tonight? The shark girl kept talking about that.”

“Yes,” Nagisa replied. “There is.”

Chris leaned back slightly, cushions adjusting around her automatically.

“…Honestly? I don’t mind being a couch for one night. If I get free food and a party out of it.”

Kirika blinked. “You’re just okay with this?”

Chris shrugged as much as someone could while being furniture. “I’ve been through worse.”

Shirabe sighed. “I suppose… this is very comfortable.”

Maria closed her eyes. “If it’s temporary, I can live with it.”

Hibiki smiled weakly. “At least we’re together…?”

All eyes turned to Nagisa.

Nagisa stared at them for a moment.

Then she let out a small laugh.

“…Very well,” she said. “You’re officially invited.”

The couch lights brightened slightly, as if in celebration.

Six girls.

One couch.

Party approved.

Somewhere far away, Akeela felt a mysterious sense of pride, and immediately started worrying about the coffee table. Maybe that one needed to be improved too…

Anyway for now…

Mission success.
