DESCRIPTION

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a good week last week. Personally, I had a bit of a weird one!

Last year around this time I was having sleeping problems. I was having trouble staying asleep at night - so I decided to try taking melatonin to see if I could fix that.

This was, it turns out, a mistake. I'm sure other people can take melatonin in a way that is helpful for them, but for me it did not help me stay asleep that much. Instead, taking melatonin made it so that I was never really awake. I literally do not remember anything from a period of several months. I know I managed the bare minimum to stay alive, but I was sleeping sixteen hours a day, and still feeling exhausted all the time.

This year, I am again having sleeping trouble, but I am not, at least, taking melatonin about it - so things do improve! I think me and late summer simply disagree about how hot my room should be at night.

Last week, I put up another poll to see whether people would be OK with Riley stealing your choice in the new chapter, and you all surprised me again! I don't know why I'm surprised by being surprised at this point. I have never really managed to anticipate what people are going to pick when it comes to these polls - that's why I do them!

The choice to have Riley choose for you in the narrative but to still give options for both routes won handily - so that's what we'll be doing. I understand this will disappoint some people. I got a lot of feedback that having this route be different, and having Riley actually over-rule you would be hot - but I understand the desire to keep both routes open. It took me a little while to update my outline to figure out how to get to roughly similar places with the two different routes.

I don't have anything to show this week for Trixie - but I should have something next week. I am doing an art test for the characters, and it's going pretty well. I'm looking forward to showing her off, but she's not quite ready yet.

Best of luck everyone. Stay safe out there,

- Squish
