“The Blighted” Aera Haima/Rude Princess Series - Alternate Universe Ending

Everyone has lost so much. The war has taken a bigger toll than anyone could have thought. Princess Aera watches her brothers enter the imperial palace walls, but the blood drains from her face as she realizes the Plectere Knight is nowhere to be seen. Prince Lio is solemn as he delivers the news to Princess Aera about the death of her lover. As the years pass after his supposed death, Princess Aera grieves and dreams of a world where he returns. But in this world, he returns in the worst way possible.
