Hello Patrons! We got a bunch of new members last week, which is awesome. Now seems a good time to discuss some of my future plans, specifically the Bondage Tournament I’ve been stewing on. 

What’s a Bondage Tournament, you ask? Well it’s simple really. We take a list of ‘fighters’ and pit them against each other; Character A vs Character B. Then I put up a poll and my Patrons vote for who wins this round. The loser gets wrapped up by the winner. The winner advances to the next round. This repeats until the tournament has its winner. 

The exact format of the tournament is still to be determined. I can pick 8 characters and have a standard 1v1 format with four quarter finals, two semi finals and one grand final. Or I can pick more characters and do some sort of elimination format. Or maybe even 2v2s or 1v1v1s, etc. Anyway, the exact format isn’t important, but I wanted to brainstorm what the ‘theme’ of each tournament should be.  

I’ve come up with a two different options, which I will describe here. You can then vote on which option sounds the most fun to you :) 

Option A: Franchise Tournament

Pretty straightforward. I select a (video game) franchise and pick 8-10 characters from it. Then we have those characters fight each other in a standard tournament format until a single winner emerges. Examples: Overwatch Tournament (Tracer vs Widowmaker, D.Va vs Sombra, Mercy vs Brigitte, etc.), Cyberpunk 2077 Tournament (V vs Rogue, Panam vs Judy, etc.), etc. 

Option B: Theme Tournament

For this option, we don’t look at franchises but instead at a common theme between the fighters. As an easy example, I could create a Redhead Tournament. I select 8-10 iconic characters with red hair and then have them face off against each other in a tournament. The winner is the ultimate redhead, if you will. Examples: Redhead Tournament (Commander Shepard vs Triss Merigold vs Black Widow, etc.), Alien Girls Tournament (Liara vs Ahsoka vs Mantis, etc.), Superhero Tournament (Spider-Gwen vs Supergirl vs Elastigirl, etc.), etc. 

Those are the options I’ve come up with, for now. In the future I would like to explore further ideas for Franchise vs Franchise Tournaments (e.g. Overwatch vs Marvel Rivals, or Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat) and maybe Theme vs Theme tournaments (e.g. Redhead vs Black Hair Tournament, or Sci-fi vs Fantasy Tournament). But for now I'm sticking with these two options to keep things simple, and so as not to overwork myself ;)

Anyway, you can vote below which option sounds most interesting to you. The vote isn’t really definitive, because in the end I will choose what sort of tournament I like best, but it’s to give an indication of what my patrons are vibing with the most.
