DESCRIPTION

Hello Patrons,

A few weeks ago, I asked you what you'd like to see more of on my Patreon page and many of you said "life/work update" so I thought I'd do a dump at the end of every month to let you know what I have been up to, what I enjoyed etc..!

Also I am going to share pictures in the post but let me know if you prefer the photo album at the top of the post (I don't know how to explain but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say 😺)

I started the month with some sketching since I haven't touched my sketchbook in weeks, and drew some deer I saw in Nara, Japan (in 2023) from my camera roll

Then a friend came to our house and stayed for about a week, as you can see Cosmo was super happy with our guest (do not wear black if you become friends with Cosmo !!)

We went on walks almost everyday and it felt nice seeing autumn slowly arrive

First painting of September :

I cleaned my desk like never before once I was done with this painting

Then I started this other painting (that I still don't really like)

The vine turned red so quickly

I decided to give my Casetify cases a little photoshoot in them

I went on a little hike with Cosmo on a sunny day (which became rare at this point). There's a little chapel at the top and it's so comforting going there because I know it will be completely silent except for the sound of wind in the trees πŸƒ

Then I painted this girl :

Then these two for the PS Show at Nucleus Portland (more info here) :

I live close to my parents, Marty (their dog) is always there to greet my with his sad look (he's very happy but likes to pretend to be sad to get all the cuddles). My mom has been into baking brioche and bread lately, which is a good reason to stop by from time to time πŸ‘€

On the last week of September, I worked on this painting for a few days and finished it on October 1st :

And last but not least, I read a lot in September - I read Circe in June and loved it, so I bought The Song of Achilles (by the same author) and had a hard time finishing it (not sure why). So on the second week of September I decided to replace doom scrolling on my phone with reading books and finally finished The Song of Achilles. Then I kept reading and ended up reading 2 books a week

From left to right :
Top : The Song of Achilles (Miller, 2011)/ Big Hug (Gary, 1974) / Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck, 1937) /
Bottom : Murders in Atlanta (Baldwin, 1985) / Her and Him (Sand, 1859)/ To Build a Fire (London, 1902)/ The Devil in the Flesh (Radiguet, 1923)

Favorites : Big Hug, Of Mice and Men, To Build a Fire
Least fav : The Devil in the Flesh πŸ˜•

I'm currently reading Virginia Woolf's "A Room of One's Own" (Une Chambre Γ  Soi). I really like it so far !! πŸ’ͺ
If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them ! πŸ“–

Also sharing this song that's been on repeat while working in the studio lately :

That's if for today, I hope you're having a lovely weekend !!

Thanks again for your support on Patreon 🀎✨

Hugs,

Sibylline
