If you were attending a lecture, would you rather there be incredibly bad quality video, or no video at all?
The master tapes for the Modcon events were likely (almost certainly) damaged/destroyed in a series of floods that BME's owner Rachel Larratt experienced years back, and I'm not sure if higher resolution backups were ever made.
As I'm building the Modcon lecture, I've found myself on the fence about using up-converted video; on one hand, it may be the best we have. On the other... it's like watching an animated jpg from 1995.
What do you folks think?
