In one of the earliest iterations of Shannon Larratt's BMEZINE, possibly when it was still at io.org/~bme, was a gallery featuring tattoos done by none other than Shannon himself. My attempts to find that gallery, even using archival site web crawls, has been unsuccessful, but I did find this photo that Shannon had submitted to my spcOnline site in 1995 while diving through backup drives, of his self-tattooed foot.
One of the many things that Shannon and I had in common was that, despite occasionally dipping our toes in doing modification work (in his case, attempting to tattoo, in mine ritual work and some genital modification services) neither of us ever made a living as a working tattooer/piercer/modification artist.
The quality of this tattoo goes to show why that's probably for the best.
