Dear patrons,
I've done my best to get it completed for today to meet Patreon's monthly deadline but I'm going to have to retire. Had some bad flare-ups this year with my spine. Been a bit better in the last couple of weeks — but I don't want to push it. So the video is going to just go over to tomorrow. It's a long one — 50+ minutes. I realised all the events I wanted to include would take it to a staggering two hours so I've had to pare it down. Agatha Christie said of the creative process 'Murder your darlings' — ie don't be precious. Not that the event described are 'darlings'.
In the interim, before tomorrow, I'm uploaded as unlisted, for your viewing, a music video called 'walking wounded'. It's one of a few pieces that I composed in my head while I was immobilised in bed at the worst period of my spine injury. It's dedicated to Tom, who's having a very hard time this year. But maybe it will speak to some of you — title notwithstanding, in a positive way I hope.
