DESCRIPTION

This stage concept was developed to define the spatial dynamics of the character’s movement and to establish the lighting logic and overall atmosphere. Even though the set won’t be fully visible in the final animation, I wanted it to feel coherent and intentional—especially the screen behind him, marked with claw scratches, which adds a raw, playful accent to the scene.

Lighting-wise, I initially explored a dual setup: warm and cold tones to model the character’s volume and mood contrast. I did consider using decorative ball lights (they looked adorable in the early sketches), but I eventually opted for standard spotlights. They’re more manageable in traditional animation workflows and still allow me to control the rhythm and focus of the scene without overcomplicating the process.
