On this page, fatigue reigns supreme, in every sense of the word!I created it while I was in Sicily with my parents for Christmas, using my Surface 7... and it was a complete nightmare.The screen has a problem that makes every line wavy or zigzagging, and the only way to correct the stroke was to use Sketchbook's "predictive stroke." It works, but it slows everything down ridiculously.
In short... I think I'll have to buy a new tablet 😫
Aside from the technical drama, the page went smoothly.The goal was to convey the characters' exhaustion as they let go after a very intense moment.Few shots, but rich in expressive details.The rough drafting phase was the most challenging, because the wolf's expression in the first panel, the pose of the dog's paw in the second, and the management of the unique perspectives were all elements that required more time and attention than usual.
Once the rough draft was finalized, inking continued without major changes: I was already satisfied with the structure.The flat coloring was simple, while highlights and shadows added depth and softness.
