We’re really getting close to the finale, folks! In this page the characters finally catch their breath: the dog is ready to clean himself up, while the wolf has a completely different idea… he just wants to go back to sleep. And honestly, who can blame him? Hahaha.
The sketch phase was quite fast because the script was already clear and well‑defined. That made it easy to rough out the page quickly and without issues.
During the refinement stage I slightly adjusted the third panel to make it a bit more playful, but everything else stayed exactly as planned. Same for the lineart: I especially enjoyed drawing the folds of the bedsheet and the characters’ underwear. I didn’t use any reference, but I think it turned out pretty convincing.
Flat colors and lighting were simple and quick to complete. After so many pages, this part of the process has become almost automatic thanks to a very efficient workflow: same number of layers, same blending modes, same structure… which helps keep every page visually consistent.
