Ty for all the support on UK road trip part 3! As I've said that video was a massive pain to make due to technical issues and just taking way longer than expected so I'm glad its finally out and people enjoy it :'D I do think future parts are gonna be back to ~8mins in length, i HUGELY underestimated how much production time would be extended by those extra 2 mins... but I've also been thinking of changing up my writing style a bit - I feel like I could tell the story in a more interesting & cohesive way that's both more interesting to watch & more fun to animate lol
NEXT VIDEO is gonna be another animated "cat does thing" short, basically I dreamed that I made this video so that means I have to make it right? It's likely gonna be between 30 - 60s long so maybe, *maybe* won't take as long to come out (attached image related)
After that I plan to work on another commentary-style video, working title is "Why I hate Storytime Animation" - I don't intend to make it 100% negative but rather discuss my mixed feelings about the genre as in recent times I've realised I have a lot to say about the subject :'D Idk why I have such an urge to make "vent" videos lately, maybe I'm feeling less self-conscious about being "annoying" or too negative, "Loneliness" was a little nerve-wracking to make but the response to it was really nice so that definitely helps me feel less obligated to always make silly/100% positive vids <3
Following that I wanna make another "music genre cat" animation - bassline cat and jazz cat are actually part of a series, I commissioned Convexity for 4 tracks in total so there's 2 left! (might do a poll for which to do first)
Then maybe road trip part 4? I think I've mentioned that before too but I'm gonna be alternating between animated shorts & long form "storytime" vids for each upload (aside from announcement/update vids), I think that will give my brain enough change to avoid boredom/burnout and hopefully work towards a better upload schedule lol
SO progress on next vid has started :> You can follow the progress on my Trello. However, I'm gonna be travelling to Hamburg this weekend to spend about a week working in person with SalsaShark on Super Chipflake Ü, I don't know yet if the Switch 2 release is gonna affect the game's release at all (honestly the console is coming out way sooner than expected lol), but for now we're still aiming for the game to be complete in summer this year. So, video progress may be slow or non-existent just for next week
Now that I can breathe again I'll be back to making commentaries - the Loneliness commentary especially has been a long time coming (im sorryyyy), I'm also planning to finally finish those emotes for my streams and - I'm not sure when I'll get to this but - I kinda wanna do a rebrand of my streaming channel? I've been teasing making a new more skunk-like VTuber model but I'm kinda thinking of changing up my colour scheme & stuff too, but yeah, that stuff's a little lower on the priority list until the game is finished :'D
