I just got back from visiting family in England for 5 days...very mentally exhausting times. Also got trapped in manchester airport until 1am, that was cool
Buuuuut yeah, next project is gonna be...probably titled "I kinda hate storytime animation", as you can imagine a very pet-peeve heavy topic, but won't be all negative. Thankfully I have about 4 weeks until DoKomi and only a few loose-ends to tie up for the con so I should be able to get the video out by the end of the month! I'm planning to use my new skunk VTuber model for it, which funnily enough should alleviate some of the complaints I'm making in that very video lmao
Other things I'm working on include slowly rebranding my streaming channel (basically just updating my colour scheme & creating new graphics), that's something I'm mostly only gonna be doing during streams until my DoKomi stuff & the next Chipflake video are done
Sadly my German channel has to be still pretty low priority so I probably won't be able to continue working on the 'lil series I'm making for it (will have english subs) until after the con (in june), BUT to be fair 4 weeks is a pretty good amount of time so....maybe? Let me know if you wanna see some sneak-peeks of that or if I should keep it a secret, its a really cool/fun idea imo & I'm really hyped to work on it but as you can imagine I do need to prioritise my channels that are actually monetised first :'D Another thing though, depending on how well the con goes I might get a new camera for making IRL content? I did get one a few years ago (same one we used for the UK roadtrip) but to tell the truth I feel INSANELY awkward filming in public with a semi-professional looking camera...I feel like it makes people uncomfortable when they see you filming with a "proper" camera vs either a phone or something like a Gopro. Plus there's the advantage of being able to keep it in your pocket when you're not using it instead of carrying around a dedicated bag everywhere (i was so terrified of getting mugged while walking around bad areas during the UK roadtrip lmao) Of course I gotta be careful about investing too much into what's kinda just a hobby/side project for now, but I'd really like to do videos about exploring & trying things for the first time in Germany sometime in the future
Super Chipflake Ü development is going well! In short, there's only 2-3 areas that need to be added & the map will be finished :D Then we just need to add in all the remaining quests & minigames, finalise everything etc. We're currently trying to figure out a reasonable final timeframe to add as many of our ideas & polish to the game without delaying the release for too long. On my end, I've been working on the intro animation that plays when you start the game as well as taking on the rest of the UI that's still missing/needs updating - I'll drop some previews of what I've been working on within the next few days :> And my script for the QnA video is almost complete, so that'll likely come out after my next or next 2 main channel videos! If there's anything you're curious about regarding the game feel free to ask in the comments here, I'll either answer you directly or add it to the FAQ video
Also probably gonna open commissions again soon? Not sure exactly when but I'm also trying to figure out a way to offer more general types of comms, like if you have a specific thing in mind for an illustration or animation. I'm thinking maybe like a "pay what you want" slot or a quote system? Cause I'd love to do less "restrictive" comms, i'm just not certain how to do that since through Ko-Fi you have to set a price first, so its kinda hard to offer something more or less complex without having a million different add-ons where the commissioner has to figure out if their design is considered complex or not, & stuff like that
