I just got the photos of what the Socks plushie looks like and oh my god look at him Bro looks exactly like the artwork I sent in, I was kinda worried that the body shape would be too difficult to translate into plush form (I feel like I don't see plushies shaped like this very often?) but like...this is pretty much exactly what I had in mind :DD what do you think?
One thing I've been a bit worried about is opening pre-orders for this dude around the same time as my game coming out (not that the game is gonna be super expensive or anything, I think we're pretty much set on $20), but it's looking unlikely that we'll be able to release within the next 5 weeks anyway. Basically, the final version is about to be submitted to Nintendo, and they need about a month's time for...processing? I'm honestly not sure exactly what they take so long with, but along with that we also have the small (hopefully only small) problem that technically Nintendo doesn't support the version of Unity we're using anymore which...hopefully should be fine since we already submitted a version of the game before they made this change...but tbh we don't really know for sure yet :'D So yeah...very frustrating times, being so close to the finish line but not being able to cross it yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the release date won't get pushed back too much more
Meanwhile I've started scripting the continuation of the UK Roadtrip series, in this part we briefly visited my home town and while scripting it I realised I kinda have a lot to say about it? Tbh I've been wanting to make a video about my home town for a while now and so I kinda wanna take this opportunity to do so, however while we were there we didn't take any footage whatsoever :'D Of course I technically don't need video footage for a storytime animation but I do feel like if I'm gonna be talking about how bad a place is (spoiler lol), I wanna actually show evidence of what I'm talking about. So, since I'll be visiting family around the beginning of December, I've been thinking about getting some footage to use for the video while I'm there, and maybe releasing a few shorter videos in the meantime. I hope that wouldn't be too disappointing for those who are looking forward to Roadtrip Pt.4, but I think it would make a bit more sense time-wise with the plush & game release too. I mean, now that I'm pretty much done with my work on SCÜ I should be able to return to a more frequent upload schedule too :> (theoretically I can still work on the Roadtrip video already and just drop in the footage when I get back from England and still release it around the beginning of December)
