Hellooooo
I just got back from my first convention in the Netherlands and I'm still absolutely exhausted omg It went pretty well though! Was really cool to meet some dutch viewers and I got a TON of fanart (way more than I usually get at conventions) which was extremely sweet Also I made some decorations for my booth that I ended up forgetting at home lmao (ignore the scuffed mousemat, I use it as a workmat when working on traditional art lol)Gotta say though the con itself was a bit too expensive considering the booth costs + hotel + petrol so I'm not sure if I'll be back at Heroes Made in Asia again unless I can snag a smaller/cheaper booth in the Artist Alley or something, but I wouldn't be opposed for trying out Dutch Comic Con or something in the future :>
Anyway, the GIF is a clip from my next main channel video which should be out this week! All of the main animations are done (unless I decide to add some more) so I'm just working on editing everything together with effects and such, basically it's an animation to a song a friend of mine made for Super Chipflake Ü, and I wanna get it out before the end of the month to help promote an event he's organising (just a short clip at the end, the whole video is not an ad). Buuut I'm struggling a little with the length of it, it's around 2mins 30s and I already cut the song down by quite a lot...it's just so good that I don't wanna cut out more :'D I'm gonna see if I can manage to finish it today at the current length and maybe cut it down a little more if I really have to. Overall though I'm really happy with how the video is turning out and it's been super fun to work on :D
After this video is out I'll return to working on the Road Trip Part 4! I'm kind of thinking of reducing my storytime animations to around 5mins each, I love writing long scripts but making 10minute long animations absolutely takes me out lmao and I think personally I'd rather make shorter videos more often than longer videos less frequently. I think that'll also give me more freedom to experiment with the visuals and not keep getting in these situations where I really like how it looks but then realise making a whole 10mins of animation in that style is gonna take me forever :'D
Next week I'm also gonna be preparing for my next 2 conventions in May - HanaCon & DoKomi. I got some cool ideas for new merch for them which I'll keep you guys updated on the process of if you're interested! :> In general I wanna start posting more actively on here, I realised I'm always working on so many different projects but I'm just keeping them to myself for some reason lmao
As always thank you for reading & for supporting me, can't wait for you to see the next animation! :D
P.S. If you didn't grab a copy yet, Super Chipflake Ü is on sale on Steam for one more day!
